Teaching Associate (2 positions)
The successful applicant will provide care independently and collaboratively with other team members. Duties will include rounding daily with the critical care team, writing daily notes, coordinating the care of patients with the service attending physician and fellow, and participating in teaching opportunities in the clinical setting. Faculty members are encouraged to provide input at regularly held section meetings to address clinical issues and to help ensure the efficient deployment of team resources. As a member of the inpatient care team, the APP will need to provide coverage on weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care.
Clinical Assistant Professor – Advanced Lung Diseases, Days and Nights
The successful candidate will provide care primarily in the inpatient setting with additional opportunities for outpatient care. Clinical assignments will include both daytime and nighttime shift assignments. The candidate will focus on management (diagnosis and treatment) of patients with a variety of advanced lung diseases who are often with high medical acuity and related systemic comorbidities. Treatments will involve complex medical decision-making including the synthesis of testing data and evaluation of potential treatment regimens.
Associate Professor or Professor of Clinical Practice - Director of Interventional Pulmonology
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Associate Professor or Full Professor of Clinical Practice who will specialize in Interventional Pulmonology (IP). Patient care efforts will occur at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) Montlake and Northwest Campuses, Harborview Medical Center (HMC), and at Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC). We are seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist to develop and lead a new IP service for UW Medicine. The Director of Interventional Pulmonology will have a strong clinical presence engaging in advanced bronchoscopy, pleural interventions, and other aspects of IP medicine. This new service will partner with thoracic surgery in the diagnosis and staging of lung cancer, management of complex pleural disease, therapeutic airway interventions, and interventional support of various thoracic and pulmonary conditions.
Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (clinician/scholar) – Pulmonary Hypertension
The University of Washington (UW) is recruiting for a full-time Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (without tenure due to funding) in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine. Patient care efforts will occur primarily within the Pulmonary Hypertension Care Center at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), Montlake and NWH Campuses. Clinical work will be primarily outpatient and will occur within the Pulmonary Hypertension Center at UWMC. The clinical work will focus on the outpatient management (diagnosis and treatment) of patients with Pulmonary Hypertension who are often with high medical acuity and complex pulmonary pathophysiology along with related systemic comorbidities. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, scholarship, or service which is considered integral to this position. Teaching responsibilities will include clinical bedside teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
